why is it that in a weathered rock, you will surely find quartz and k feldspar?

Answer:

I am not going to look at your youtube video because of a chance of a hacker. Nothing personal at all! If it is quartz it is a six sided crystal with sort of an oily gloss to it. you know like if you drop oil in water is has that prism look. that's what most quartz have in its crystal. If it is fluorite, they usually have more of a triangular fracture.
