What properties of Magnesium make it a metal?
In some ways I think it's a neccessary evil, folks who listen to corporate friendly radio metal need to be harrassed into listening to better bands, otherwise there wouldn't be any money in it, and all the great underground bands would break up and get jobs instead of making music.
I think the whole if it ain't metal, it's crap thing is complete bullshit. To say you love music and to call yourself a musician means you should appreciate and respect all forms of music.
i find it stupid. i personally like almost any genre between punk rock and death metal. its because metal is so expansive and has so many sub genres that their like COMPLETELY different genres, so fans of different metal sub genres compare each other like a jazz fan to a country fan or something. the beauty of metal is that it contains so many different elements and can still be the same thing. a shame that everyone has to forget that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I used to be an elitist but now I respect everyone's music taste and don't care what other people think of my taste, and I also just don't buy into that tr00 kvlt bullshit anymore. Music elitism is just a disgrace.
They disgust me to no end... Sometimes I can see where they're coming from, like when they say certain genres like nu metal and glam metal aren't real metal but for the most part, I think they're ridiculous. If you ask me, they're the real poseurs and obviously don't know very much about what being a metalhead is about. If they did, they'd know that going about thinking you listen to better music than others and judging people based on what they listen to is one of the biggest poseur things you could ever do in metal. Or poser as they spell it. That's how dumb they are, they don't even know how to spell poseur right.
