I have a 2007 Chevy Impala. When I tried to turn my car on earlier today, the Traction Control Off showed up on my control panel. It has been known to happen to the model of my car. But it usually happens while people are driving. My issue aside from the traction control showing up, is the fact that my car won't turn on. I've tried jumping it, and nothing happens. My car doors won't even lock. I've tried asking a few people around and they keep telling me that there is a switch to take off the traction control. But why won't my car turn on?Someone PLEASE, I'm begging you, help me!!!
I think the traction control light is an indicator of a larger problem with your computer or a wiring problem. I would disconnect the battery for a minute and then reconnect it. Take the negative cable off, not the positive. If the problem is still there, then obtain a diagram of your fuse box layout (owner's manual). Try removing one fuse at a time and then try to start the car or try your door locks. If you find things are working, you have a problem related to the area powered by the fuse you removed. You might have some shorted wires or something might be grounded or a ground may have come off. In addition, a sensor could also have shorted or grounded. You could disconnect plug-in connectors to sensors to see if that helps. Also, turn your lights on and try to start the car. If the lights go very dim or out then your battery is discharged. If the lights stay bright, then the starter isn't even getting the signal to start (back to shorts, grounds, and computer).
Do you have something, settlement, in the fuel filter?
