Why is one side of tin foil shiny and one side dull?
textile is one of the major exporting sector for developing countries like bangladesh, china, thiland, india etc.textile engineering is a demanding subject in thous countries.it's cover the technology of making cloths/garments from fibertextile engineering or textile technology have mainly four basic subject 1garments manufacturing technology(it covers the manufacturing of clothes from fabric) 2.fabric manufacturing technology(it's the technology of making fabric from yarn/threats) 3.yarn manufacturing technology(it's the process of making yarn from fiber) 4.wet processing technology(wet processing relates with coloration of fabric/yarn)
for the purpose of proper planning and documentation maybe, been a long time since college.
Textile engineering, also known as textile technology, is the study of various principles form engineering and scientific methodologiesThese principles are then implemented for the processing and production of all kinds of textile fabric and yarns from textile fibersThe disciple involves extensive study of chemical and physical principles, which is then utilized for the detailed study and analysis of the behavior of polymers involved in the formation of textile fiber.
Tin foil hardly exists anymore, as it has been mostly replaced by aluminum foil since the past 100 or so years, but the old name has still stuckAluminum foil is made by cold rolling aluminum into thin sheetsTo make very thin sheets such as those that are used for cooking, two layers are put together for the final rollingThis leaves the inside between the sheets matte and the outside shinyThe shiny side does not reflect more heat than the matte side, so it has no real purpose for cooking-it's a manufacturing relict.
