Why is the power transformer made of Mn Zn ferrite core not enough?
Ferrite is a ferromagnetic metal oxide. As far as electrical characteristics are concerned, ferrite resistivity is much larger than metal and alloy magnetic materials, and has higher dielectric properties.
The magnetic properties of ferrites also exhibit high permeability at high frequencies. As a result, ferrite has become a high frequency, weak current field of non-metallic materials widely used. The ferrite magnetic energy stored in the unit volume is low and the saturation magnetization is low (usually only pure 1/3 ~ 1/5), which limits its application in high energy density low power and high power applications.
The reason is that the volume is too small and the section is not big enough.
