Question:

Why wont the tail lights go out when brake is up?

The tail lights stay on after you foot is off the brake and I changed the brake light switch and still the same

Answer:

An RSX S should get great fuel economy. It sounds like you are shifting fine, but Id actually shift a little higher for better fuel economy as there is still a lot of load on the engine at 2.5k rpm. You will probably see a small increase in MPG with those mods, but only if you get a decent tune.
i think that with intake it will be the same with any brand but if you want something popular go with KN cold air will probably give you more hp then short ram but with cold air you run the risk of sucking up water from a puddle or something
I wonder if you are looking at the right switch. There are usually two switches on the brake pedal - one for the brake lights and one for cruise control.
Disconnect the connector from the brake pedal switch and if the brake lights remain on you know the switch wires are shorted together somewhere or 12 volts is shorting to the brake stop lights wire from another circuit. But if the brake lights go out when you disconnect the connector from the brake pedal switch, you know you need to readjust the mechanical position of the switch (or the switch is bad).
tail lights.have nothing to do with the brakes or brake light they are a different system.operated by the light switch,or in some cases if the car has auto lightsits an automatic on when running
