Question:

Why would lightning not b urn a flag off of a flag pole?

Our flag pole got hit by lightning last Wednesday. Our house was slightly damaged, 2 window panes broken, the boards under the picture window blown in the house along with a electrical box, some cable, internet, phone cables fused together. I just wanted to know why the flag was still there and not even harmed one bit, even in the huge lightning bolt that made so much noise it was the loudest sound I ever heard!.Thanks to anybody who has the secret answer.

Answer:

They are safe. My children and our bed all have electric blankets. Just make sure it is a well known brand, not a second hand one, and check all the wires for breaks or kinks. The only real danger is I believe if you have any health issues, which are clearly stated in the booklet with the blankets. We have been using them for years, and never once had any problems with them. Just make sure you turn them off when you get out of bed. We turn ours on 15mins before we get into bed, and the bed is nice and warm and cozy. :-)
I understand your case, but what is the REAL question you are trying to ask? Sounds to me you want your friends to live in your area. Is that it? What my mind tells me is that you don't like to see your friends suffering in the cold climate.
