I have usb loader gx on my soft modded wii. I just purchased the new game quitar hero warriors of rock and when i put the game in the wii on the disc channel it says i need to update my wii. A few months ago it did the same thing and made the mistake of updating it and i had to re-mod because it removed all of my modded stuff. so i was told just to copy the game onto the hardrive and it will work, i have done that and when i try to play the game all that shows up is a black screen. i am running ios 249 and version 4.2 NTSC wii. please help
I would make sure your Homebrew is on the latest version 1.0.8, then go ahead and update your Wii to 4.3 through Nintendo. Yes, you'll have to reinstall your CIOS, but it's the safest, easiest way to make sure your Wii can play any game. Also, I would suggest using Hermes' CIOS 222 for guitar games. It's typically more compatible with instrument games.
