Question:

Will a 1.9 gpm pressure washer work with a 5.5 gpm wand?

I have acquired a Craftsman Clean n Carry pressure washer for free because it didn't pump right. It is 4 hp and rated for 2150 psi/ 1.9 GPM. Unfortunately, it came without the hose and wand as well. :( When nothing is attached to the outlet connection while it's running it produces a nearly painful stream of water. The pump appears to be in great shape. However, whenever the wand is attached, the pressure is very low. The wand is rated for 5.5 GPM. Why is the pressure low?

Answer:

I agree with you. There's nothing better than sitting in front of a fireplace on a cold snowy evening. I had many nights like that before I moved south. It's so peaceful sitting there, all warm cozy while the snow is coming down in feet. I don't miss the Ohio winters one bit. It's so nice to be snow-less have some lows during the days in the mid 50's in the winter. Who would complain about that? It's been in the 70's for close to a week that is so nice. I love having my windows open all day evening. I've had my eye on the nasty weather the north northeastern part of the country is getting it makes me even happier that I don't have to put up with all of that, especially the Lake Effect snows that I was so used to in Ohio, since I once lived right on Lake Erie.
This could be a few things, I'm assuming it's not a factory alarm so it could be something like a bare wire touching metal causing a short which would trigger the alarm. You should check your battery connections if they are loose that would explain the alarm randomly going off. If all else fails you can just disable the whole alarm/flashing lights all together just locate the alarm brain (a black box usually right under the dash on the drivers side) and unplug the wires from it. This will disable all the annoying things but also disable the key chain you use to lock/unlock the doors so you'll have to use the key. Hope this helps! :)
Stand out on the freeway in the dark and wait while I think of an answer that will convince you not to stand there any longer, God willing.
