I am wanting to grad an Asus Crosshair IV Formula while it is on sale at my local computer store. However, I have heard that it will be possible to upgrade to Bulldozer in the future using this board. Clarification in the matter would be much appreciated.
Asus website shows that this board will have AM3+ compatibility via BIOS (currently still beta). But since it's an 8 series chipset, don't expect all Bulldozer features to work such as a new power management and clock gating capabilities.
That's what the rumor mill says, that the bulldozer is to use the same socket AM3 and the x6 and Phenom2's have been using...
