Question:

Will an at&t sim card fit into a t mobile phone?

i have an att phone(cingular) and would like to put it into something like a sidekick lx or the t mobile shadowp.s. i have the regular att sim cardis this possible?

Answer:

just and FYI here . you can call Tmobile and ask them for the unlock code and if the phone is not listen as stolen they will provide it for you. However you wont be able to access media net from that phone the Tzone settings are not compatible with being updated for media net. You wont be able to get on the internet or send/rec pictures
Sure, it will fit. Most SIM cards have 1 standard size. Just have the T-mobile phone 'unlocked' so that the ATT SIM card will work on it.
Yes, it will fit, however, if you are putting it into a cell phone that is exclusive to T-Mobile (such as the LX) you will not have a lot of the features you would have if you kept T-Mobile. With the LX (and the Shadow, I think), you will only be able to make calls and text messages.
You can use any phone from t-mobile but you will first need to unlock the phone. It is usually better to purchase the phone already unlocked. If you want to buy a t-mobile phone and use it for ATT then you can either go to a cell phone store to get unlocked, depending on location could cost anywhere from $25 to $65. Or if you purchase the phone at a t-mobile store and pay full retail price you can fax the receipt to t-mobile and they will unlock the phone for you.
They are identicle - one GSM card is just like the next - just make sure the T Mobile phone is unlocked - meaning it can actually run using the other provider's GSM card if it is NOT unlocked, the card will still fit but the software won't allow it to operate. It is also easy (in most cases) to get a phone unlocked.
