I think I can understand what you mean by them being sore and stiff, I've had a similar problem, but it was only temporary in my case. If it gets worse then perhaps making an appointment with your eye doctor might be a good idea, otherwise, you should be fine and you'll be back to normal soon. I doubt that safety goggles would do that to your eyes, maybe you've been on the computer or exposed to light for too long? It's just a theory, either way you'll be fine. Good luck! :)
