Question:

Will N.A.S.A. invent an electro-magnetic spaceship to replace the Space Shuttle?

By only using electro-magnetic as a source of energy, the new spaceship will no longer using fuel.

Answer:

Google the Deep Space One mission. This probe used electro magneto plasma dynamic propulsion. An electro magnet fired hot plasma (Xenon gas i think) out the back for it's acceleration. The good thing about this type of space craft is the fuel is light and you can take more and it can go farther, the drawback is it takes a long time to speed up and it's not enough thrust for a launch. It's really only good for long distance probes.
I don't know if em propulsion would work in the vacuum of space. But here on the ground, it would be nice if electromagnetism powered our transportations. No wrecks, no complaining about gas prices much less pollution. the list goes on.
Engineering, stand by for warp drive. With that command, the Star Trek crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise prepared to hurl the spaceship through the cosmos at superluminal speeds. Warp drive is another one of those science fiction technologies, like teleportation and time travel, that have some scientific basis. It just hasn't been achieved yet. However, scientists are working on developing an interstellar spacecraft engine that is similar to the matter-antimatter engine of the Enterprise.
Because usually he is the back wheels are affected by force used to make the car or bike go forword, so it cant be stopped easily, bu on the other hand , the front wheel isfree to add resistance until the back wheels stop:)
