Question:

Will vincent Jackson remain a Charger?

I think it will be counter-productive not to have him as a chargerbut what's your take?

Answer:

the chargers have recievers coming out of their @ssholes they dont really need him
Absolutely not. Even if the chargers offered him a top 5 WR contract, I dont think hed take it. After they wouldnt renegotiate his contract and placed his RFA tender on him, he chose to sit out these games and only came back to get credit for an accrued NFL season. Then, AJ Smith reduced the tender to the lowest possible amount by NFL rules becuase he didnt report to camp (off the top of my head I think hes making like 110% of his previous years salary). Then when he still refused to sign the tender, Smith suspended him for 3 games because of it, meaning he didnt get paid. All the while refusing trade offers for Jackson that would have been more than the Chargers will receive as a compensatory pick when he walks. Smith wont pay him what he wants and doesnt want him back, and after these offseason antics, even if he was offered what he was asking for, I think hed turn it down. I remember him saying that when he signs with another team, hed be willing to work his contract to where his first year is a low salary. The point of this being is the Chargers compensatory pick will be based upon his 1st years salary with a new team. For example, say he signed for 8mil a year for 4 years with a 8mil signing bonus (40mil total) paid out 12,10,6,4 w/ the SB upfront. The chargers could get as high as a 3rd round pick. If he took that payment as 4,12,10,6 the chargers pick could drop a few rounds, say to a 5th rounder. Thats how jackson feels about AJ Smith's treatment of him this offseason. So no, he will not be back.
he's asking for too much money and being greedy, I wouldn't sign him if I were them. The chargers have good young receivers. and they will be fine without him. Look at the pats without moss.
yes he will be. Hes too big a threat to let go. I see a contract extension in the off-season, and no hold out this time!
Roll the cube in case you like, yet this might fairly twist and turn.he comments and sits for 3 and - then what - the Chargers turn on him, understanding he's on the clock and only might do those 50% routes (that could advise he has greater of a decoy, like Moss in his very final visual charm for NE) or deactivate him for video games according to an harm, so he in reality can sit down homestead and pull a paycheck. Or, he comments, gets the trio of video games out of ways and then can by some potential turn issues directly to help a club keen to commence a malcontent over gamers who've shown loyalty to the equipment.
