My computer & router is on the second floor, but my xbox 360 is in my basement.
Depends how good your router is, but probably.
it should mine is in my room upstairs but in the basement is my router.
It's no different than having the Xbox in another room.
sorry yet u cant hook it as much as a telephone jack i already tried, i had the comparable subject. you need to the two plug a ethernet cord out of your xbox to ur computing gadget. i understand that u dont have ur xbox close to to ur computing gadget so why dont you in straight forward terms positioned a television close to ur computing gadget or purchase a 100ft ethernet cable or an instantaneous adapter. I wouldnt reccomend the instantaneous adapter for ur xbox because of the fact its one hundred money and people who stay close to you need to thieve ur connection
My computer & router is also on the second floor, and also my xbox 360 is in my basement. For me Xbox Live works about 65% of the time. It has annoyed me so much that now I am moving my computer and router to my first floor. I would recommend that you do the same.
