Question:

Windshield Wiper Arm Problem?

So, my grandpa‘s Ford Crown Victoria the wiper completely lifts off the driver‘s side window while going anywhere between 40+ MPH. The car has over 200K miles on it. I no that they are loose but can you tighten them or does the spring need to be replaced. I no for a fact its not the wipers themselves because they are new and the beam style blade kind. Its very dangerous because its like driving with no wipers! Thanks!

Answer:

go to the auto parts store and buy some snuggies that you put over the wiper arm. it only takes a few minutes to install, they act like a spring , but are a lot easier to install.
Air heats up when it is compressed, like in a turbo application. Warm air causes problems with detonation and power production in general. An intercooler cools that compressed air before it gets to the motor, thus making more power. If you aren't compressing (thus heating) the intake air, an intercooler is pointless. This is why the aftermarket cold air intakes are absolutely idiotic, as factory setups draw cold air from outside the engine bay, those intake setups get hot underhood air. You don't want hot air normally aspirated, you leave the stock air intake tract in place.
