A few days ago, I noticed the wiper blade on my driver‘s side was bent so I got a new one just for the driver side and it worked fine. I got a trico force blade. A couple days later I got the passenger match for it and after a couple wipes, the driver blade went under the passenger. Now, the driver blade goes off my windshield and doesn‘t completely return to its normal rest position. The passenger blade is working fine.I think all of this may have been caused by my blades getting stuck on ice and then pulling something loose over time. I‘m no mechanic but I have enough know how to fix this myself if possible. Does anyone know how to approach this issue? Much thanks to any assistance!
Tighten the wiper arm bolt.
Pull up the arm and you will see a spring. Spray some WD-40 on it. Put the arm back and exercise the arm to work the spring. Get a wrench and tighten the bolt where the arm hinges. Lower the arm to the windshield just to make sure you have the right force when it contacts the windshield. You do not want too much force. Test the wiper.
