If I turn my windshield wipers on to the intermittent speed they run fairly fast regardless of where I set the control. If I put them on high they will go even faster, but they can never turn off. You have to turn the car off to get them to stop. Also once you go to high, then wont slow back down to their intermittent speed. any ideas?

Find the windshield wiper relay, remove it,borrow another relay from the panel that has a identical part number, remove it from panel and install it in the terminals you just removed the suspect relay from, try wipers again. If the problem stopped, the suspect relay needs to be replaced. If it didn't fix the problem, the multifunction or windshield wiper switch is bad. When a relay is defective it causes the component to not function at all or it will run continuously, like your wipers are doing.
