When a weather report says Traction Tires Required, is all wheel drive vehicles with regular tires okay to drive with if you do not have traction tires? The earlier report for Chains Required said that they chains were required except for all wheel vehicles so I was wondering if it was the same with Traction Tires Required?
Suitable tires are important no matter the drivetrain. All-wheel drive gives you zero more grip, although it's harder to lose grip under acceleration. Always have the suitable tires!
All wheel driver with regular tires is fine, so long as you don't care if you can stop or turn.
