Question:

Wire harnesses???!?!problem?

Auto Tech's questionwhat store carries OEM stereo wire harnesses. I need one for a 95 Chevrolet Suburban. A long time ago i didn't know what i was doing so i cut of the wires for the original harness. So now i don't know the individual wire color indications. i am hoping to find out the the harnesses in stock somewhere in some store are still the same with my truck's. I bought the truck used so i am only hoping that the wires have been kept the same all these years and also that someone else didn't mess with the wires and so they might have switched colors. Thankx any ideas will help

Answer:

Parts store will only order it from the dealer at a mark up. Go to the dealer, or you can do this the cheap way. Go to a junk yard, find a vehicle same make, model and year as yours, and cut the harness out that you need. Make sure you leave the wires that connect to the adapter plenty long enough, just in case you cut yours and did not leave very much wire there.
I know this isnt what you asked for but I seen it in your question. 1995 Chevrolet Suburban Car Stereo Radio Wiring Diagram Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Orange Radio Ignition Switched 12V+ Wire: Yellow Radio Ground Wire: Black Radio Illumination Wire: Gray Radio Dimmer Wire: Brown Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A Radio Amplifier Trigger Wire: N/A Front Speakers Size: 6 1/2″ Front Speakers Location: Doors Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Tan Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Gray Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Dark Green Rear Speakers Size: 6 1/2″ Rear Speakers Location: Rear Doors Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Brown Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Dark Blue Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Light Blue

DO NOT BUY FROM WALMART!!!!! bring your truck to an actual stereo shop and spend the extra 3 dollas to get a good harness
