wired smoke detector keeps beeping I have turned it off at the mains but it is still beeping how do I stop it?
I have an alarm clock made by Emerson Research. It's been the best alarm clock I've ever had. You can set two different alarms to different days, times, and wake up mode. I have one alarm set on weekdays to play the radio at 6:30, and the other uses the normal buzzer on weekends at 8:00. Oh, and if you lose power, it resets itself. Very nice.

If it gets cold in your area in the winter be aware that keeping can goods can cause problems. Most can goods have enough moisture to freeze and burst or otherwise have their seals compromised. They are also not a good idea in the summer months. Cars can get very hot inside and at the very least you can expect the shelf life to drop dramatically. Beyond that it's really personal choice.
