I am just curious if the gun is good enough for the hopper or if it would be overkill
It will be fine. It's always better to have too much loader than not enough. And if you upgrade the ROF of the pilot or get a better gun all together, the Halo will transition easily.
personally i think it would be over kill i have a dangerous power g3 that i use a Halo on but when i use to play with spyders i used run of the mill electric hoppers or egg hoppers which are only $60, but if you want you can use it youll never have to worry about your gun skipping and you have real low odds of paint breaking
