Question:

Would giving my Chameleon a heated &blanket& be safe?

I've been looking for a heat source for my chameleon at night. I've read reviews on multiple products and don't trust them. They all seem to require constant supervision to prevent burns or fire hazards. I have a metal mesh terrarium so an under the cage heat pad won't work. My terrarium also won't allow for a heat rock, which is okay, because chameleons prefer to stay off the ground as you should know. I was wondering if a heated blanket would be safe? I thought about putting a rag in the dryer for a little bit and draping it over his vines. That way it's warm, but not too warm.

Answer:

I would save my kids first b/c if I couldn't i would rather not be here.

If you don't see a hinge,..then it just snaps on.
We have the same brand of detector. Try holding the side snug with your fingers and turning the whole thing to the leftthink that was the direction to open it. It can be tight, and tricky to turn, but it won't break, so if it's giving a little, you are doing it right, it just needs a little more oomph. If you can't open it by turning it to the left, try turning it to the right. But, I'm pretty sure it's the left. Then to put it back up, you just turn it the other way.
