Would I get struck by lightning if I was walking home holding an umbrella?

Answer:

Fire The problem with fire is that it always burns up, and can burn itself out. Explosions are good but what's the point of short range fireballs. And you have to believe it burns up a lot of the user's energy. Plus, can't really be used defensively, unless the user is impervious to the heat. Ice Frost lines are good and Ice Shotgun is cool, but Ice breaks easily. Even at close range you probably could not throw the ice hard or fast enough to make a serious impact. If you could then snowball fights would be lethal. And Fire or lightning would melt them easy. Lightning This is very difficult to aim. It always goes to the target that is negatively charged or that is a good conductor. A person only has to stand next to a lightning rod to be immune to the power. Wind You really limited wind. this would have been my choice if I could conjure up hurricane force winds or something. Why are the wind powers so lame. And Air Pressure? Watch Avatar on nickelodeon, they do wind control well.
Wind. Wind can intensify fire and cold snaps creating ice.
can i turn water into ice? if so, then water. If no longer, then air, reason i ought to drift around and it is peacful. besides the undeniable fact that query me this on a bad day and that i could gladly choose hearth. yet no yeah, actually water.
Lightning, he has long distance power so he stays out of range of the others and bolts them!
It sounds as if the insulation is so poor in your house, I honestly don't know if anything will help. I have a small home, and sound travels between the rooms, too. Sometimes it just can't be helped, no matter how quiet the person tries to be. Even small sounds seem magnified in a quiet house, especially to the one who is trying to sleep. If you are a light sleeper, every little sound is a problem. How about ear plugs? Or could you buy some kind of white noise machine to block out the sounds? Both would take some getting used to, but it sounds like you are to the point of trying some unconventional methods. I think soundproofing material can be purchased and applied to the walls, but your parents may not want to invest in this, as it may be pricey. You could cover the wall with heavy fabric, gathered slightly and attached near the ceiling and floor with staples or tacks. You'll have lots of little holes to fill in later, though. The fabric may somewhat muffle the sounds. If you do a search online for fabric covered walls, you might find some more information. You may be able to purchase matching blankets or bedspreads that are on sale or inexpensive and these could be attached to the wall to provide a little insulation. Your father may be willing to cover sheets of plywood with batting and felt or fabric to nail to the wall. This is something you need to address with your parents. Maybe if you work together, you can come up with a workable solution.
