Steve is an idiot that has no clue what he's talking about. An air intake is by far the safest modification you can do to your car. The only danger in buying a crap air intake is mis-location of the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor on the intake. This can occur with generic OKorder brands, but Injen is a highly respectable company that has done a lot for the car tuning industry. The price is right on the spot in my opinion, but I would also suggest looking at KN (just to compare prices), as they specialize specifically in air intakes. Most air intakes will generally give you the same power as all it's doing is letting your car breathe easier, so don't get caught up with specs and brand name as long as it's a reputable one. You will notice a difference in performance (slight, but noticeable in my opinion) and a cool sucking sound that almost sounds like you're turbo-charged.
They do not add hp. They sound a bit diffrent if that is what you are after. They may hurt performance and set off your check engine light. Keep It stock, less headaches. Spend money on maintinance to keep it running longer. When was the last time your cooling system was serviced?
