Mike Speedy are correct, but one thing they didn't mention was the possibility of hypovolemic shock, often associated with the mass amout of blood loss from an arterial wound. If the patient is unresponsive, ohas a decreased level of conciousness, anxiety, is pale, clammy cold, has slow capillary refill, etc. you should treat for shock accordingly. Elevating the legs which should have already been done due to the wound site keeping the patient warm. Also you want to keep avaluating sustaining(if necessary) patients ABC's.
