Question:

yellow fire hydrants with things that look like pencils on top?

so i have seen these things all around and no one knows what I am talking about. they are metal things that stick up out of yellow fire hydrants and they look like pencils. does anyone know what I'm talking about or what they are or what they're called

Answer:

Well, it goes as follows: UV rays can penetrate water, but not very deeply. So standing waist deep in water, will make your upper body be more tanned than your lower body. However, it will penetrate small droplets of water. This can cause bad sunburn, because the droplets can work as a lens. Its recommended to dry yourself of as soon as possible, after swimming. The droplets will capture a lot of sunlight, and concentrate it in 1 spot. You will not tan faster, but you will burn. Always use sunblock )
Wow thats a lot, the best way to overcome fear is to face it, fear goes away with courage. I know its easy for me to say i know itl be hella scary but its better that you get rid of your fear, it makes life harder having that fear. Sleep tonite in the dark, think happy thoughts, do this every night until you feel better about it. And tell your friend to stop creeping you out, if she is a good friend then she will understand. Hope i helped and good luck :) Btw that birth video was gross xD cant belive i have to see that in person 1 day
Take a thin Gage wire and using needle nose pliers bend a small hook into the end. Clip this end so that its not more than 1/16 to 3/32 long and have it bent back to about a 45degree Angle to the wire. Guide the hook into the lock above the wood and see if you can place the hook past the end of the wood and try to pull out the wood. You may also be able to drag the wood out by snagging the sharpened hook into the wood and dragging it out. I would avoid the use of glue (Elmer's or otherwise) as its too easy to trash the pins in the lock. Avoid placing oil or water (water based glue) in the lock as the wood will swell making it harder to extract Heating the lock with a torch to burn the wood will at least damage the lock finish. However a heat gun or hair dryer may be used as a last resort in order to dry the wood and hopefully shrink it slightly to ease extraction with the hook.
No. The water tends to remove the natural skin oils. Pool water usually contains chlorine, which makes it worse.
