Question:

Your comments and life experiences will help inspire my next novel?

I'm not asking for you to tell me my story! I know it has to come from within, and it will. But I'm writing a romance novel, and I wanted your opinion on some different predicaments (you can use personal experience, or just an idea).I'm not going to directly use the ideas. But sometimes little things just spark something inside me, you know? When I have an idea of a predicament for one of my songs, one word that is said can become a song. What are some sweet ways of meeting someone? (I love the little Cafe idea)Careers that are particularly interesting? (e.g., The Wedding Singer). The two main characters are probably going to be around 17, so keep that in mind.Conflicts, things that came between them?I was thinking of making the location something like Charleston (but with snow, of course)! Opinions?Definable characteristics for the main boy and girl- quirky things, you know. Personality traits. You can add anything else really. I'm just looking for something little to spark something. Thanks!

Answer:

You can't soften them. I have no idea why they put those on unless they felt that people who buy cheap skates (Rollerblade only recently put their name on the Bladerunner line) don't want to replace brakes very often or will be going fast enough to need better ones. The good news is that they are using the same shape brake block as the regular Rollerblade skates (without ABT) use. You can feel the difference in the rubber that is used on the Rollerblade ones.
yes, they make compression fittings for copper pipe and tubing as well. I do not use compression fittings on copper pipe because over a period of time the hot water can cause the gaskets to become brittle and I have seen many many times where the compression fittings blew off and you don't need that mess. Soldering is best but if that is not an option for you, then I would use sharkbite fittings. I think Watts also makes fittings like the sharkbite fittings. The sharkbite fittings have a 50 year warranty and are not compression. They slide onto the pipe and have a stainless steel locking ring in them so they cannot blow off. Be sure to ream the inside of the pipe first to remove the burr/ridge inside from where it was cut and then slide it on, making sure it goes on all the way and you are set. You should be able to get them at a plumbing supply or a well-stocked hardware store. best of luck.
