My sofa has more charges then a van der graff generator... every time I touch something after leave the couch I even see the sparks... a pain in the a*So, I was wondering, can I use the the round hole from an outlet to kinda ground my sofa and discharge it?Or is there any way to do so?
No, the body of the sofa is not a conductor. Where would attach the earthing wire?
You could attach a grounding plate to the arm of the sofa so when you go to get up all you would have to do is touch it to release the charge.
