Question:

Does the xbox 360 transfer cable copy data?

I don't want to loose the data from the first hard drive so can I just copy it without loosing all content from the first hard drive. Also can I transfer dlc?

Answer:

The transfer cable transfers data, not copies it. The first hard drive is wiped clean except for the data needed for it to work with an Xbox 360. If you want to copy data, you will have to use an Xbox 360 Memory Card or a Flash Drive (the second one is only possible if you have the spring update for Xbox Live).
yes get the xbox 360 transfer cable ir fully and saftly transters from one hard drive too another everything you click it transfers and with the new usb support u can get a 16 gb usb and transfer things at a time
right am i the only one who see's this transfer cable as another scam? right since the update a couple months back you have been able to put your xbox data onto a portable HDD or USB stick right? then why isn't anyone seeing this as a money saver for the new xbox? all you do is put your data onto the USB or HDD and transfer it over with no cable you bought from microsoft, otherwise that update was uterlly pointless? ohh and btw to the guy above there is any option to transfer data to the externall HDD aswell as copying
