Question:

Getting a pallet expander?

okay, well i'm getting a pallet expander this friday :( and i'm sooo nervous. i have a couple questions like, 1.does it hurt? ):2. how long do i have to keep it on for?3. will i have a annoying lisp? -_-

Answer:

about 33 - 47 lb Ok, the numbers above i just got off a website, but now i did the math with more specifically what you were looking for. I figured about 5 inch planks for the deck with 2 inch spacing making there 6 planks on the top deck, and three more on the bottom to stablize the stringers. So thats 9 planks at 42x7/8x5 which equals about 183 cu inches x 9 of those equals about 1650 cu. inches. Then there are usually 3 stringers, 3.5x1.75x42 = 257 cu inches x 3 of those = 771 cu inches so now 771+1650 = 2421 sf inches total divided by 1728 cu in/cu ft = 1.40 I found the density of pine is about 37lb/cu ft in density so 37 x 1.4 cu ft = about 53 lb Hope this helps
I am not a land rover nutter but my brother is, I would guess that you may be over loading the trailer with this. If in doubt can you get the laden trailer onto a weighbridge to check? It is a long trip to get the engine re-conditioned but it is not impossible! My brother took a skip wagon and a huge RV ( camper) over to Poland from the UK! I think you were unlucky having your parts switched too, we do all our own work it is peace of mind that it is right too. (that's if you have the knowledge)
