Question:

I need to preserve a corpse in resin?

Ok, I've got a rat body i saved from my friends dissection lesson, and I've got 2 boxes of clear resin. I have NEVER done anything like this before, so can anyone give me any tips? Also, will resin damage whatever container I use? And how do I get it out of the containeras you can see, rather clueless

Answer:

Not sure what you mean on this one. A full face motocross helmet is supposed to be used with goggles. If you use a road bike helmet with a full visor you will get very hot and look stupid.
The Daily Beast sounds like some kiddie gamer site.
Sassylas, It depends on their age, there were some hard-wired ones that came out years ago, that didn't have battery back-up. They were quickly discontinued and replaced with battery backed type. Smoke detectors aren't made to last a lifetime anyway, they're supposed to be replaced after 10 years. But, I don't think to many people will be doing that. You should be able to twist the smoke detector to release it from its' mount, (most are counter-clockwise). The label will tell you if it's ac, or ac/dc.
