near the top of the cylinder head you'll see the temp switch at the end of a tan wire. When the cylinder head temperature exceeds 163? F or thereabouts, the switch closes, sounding the alarm. On that wire, a few inches back is a rubber sleeve covering a spade connector. peel back the sleeve and disconnect the switch. If that shuts off the alarm, then the switch is faulty. Cylinder head has to come off to replace it. If the alarm keeps going, take out the four philips head screws holding the control box together, it'll separate into two halves. The alarm is a peizo-electric horn, with a purple wire (12V accessory wire) on one post, and the tan wire on the other. Somewhere in the wiring harness or inside the control box, that tan wire is shorted to ground.
