Question:

2001 F250 4x4 Transmission?

My 2001 F250 Transmission started overflowing when I tow my 30‘ Travel Trailer. I have been towing it for years and no problem until now. I have always towed it in overdrive. Had the transmission serviced and it has no issues. Please Advise.

Answer:

it will cause the tire to wear faster, and instead of wicking water to the outside of the tire, it will bring it in other than that no
Just switch them to the other side of thr car.
Check the fluid level. Have you or someone else ever carelessly changed the fluid? is it overfilled, and when the tranny gets warm enough, or hot enough when you tow the fluid expands and overflows? thats where i would start. If not, then get the fluid power flushed and filled from a place like AAMCO. I have a 2001 F250 with the V10 and automatic, so i am familiar with the vehicle.
Easy fix.your transmission is getting hot. The extra weight is adding undue stess on the old transmission causing the fluid to boil and expand. When it expands, it runs out of room inside and has to escape. Install a large transmission cooler and do not tow in overdrive!
