can you change the gauges light, because i have green gauges but i want to know if i can install a blue light. also what kind of audio system would you suggest for the escape because it is a double deck? oh and how much would tints cost for my windows??
Check out your nearest auto parts store. Most carry a selection of lights. You can change the light to any color that is available. The audio system would depend on what you want in your SUV. There are many to choose from with different options. Most places will charge atleast $100 for a tint but some will offer discounts if doing more windows. Check your area or ask your buddies for a reliable place to go.
How you stop is ENTIRELY judged by speed and distance from your stopping point. The main thing to remember is that PROPER braking requires both brakes applied simultaneously with even pressure. Using your brakes to slow or down-shifting is entirely subjective but you should never coast while slowing with the clutch pulled all the way in. Why? Because if you need power in an emergency you could very well be in the wrong gear and make a bad situation worse. Typically, when I slow down I downshift first and then apply the brakes when coming to a stop. Depending on conditions, you may need to apply the brakes and then downshift - Refer to my first sentence. Anyway, I went to a private school to learn to ride motorcycles and have NEVER had an accident. I have owned and ridden everything from a Suzuki Hayabusa to my Goldwing, so I know what Im doing. Be safe.
when approaching a redlight or stop sign begin downshifting and using the engines compression to slow you the slowly apply the front break then the rear , then kick it into neutral for the last 10 feet and just brake with the rear break.
What you're doing is called 'riding the clutch' and it is not good for the clutch as it shortens its life-expectancy. What you do should is downshift each gear as you are slowing down to the light while also applying the brakes (you want the other drivers behind you to see your brake light so they know you are slowing down). When you come to a full stop, you should actually keep the bike in first gear until the person behind you has stopped. The reason for this is if the car behind you is not stopping, you want to be able to move out of the way before the car hits you. In a panic moment like that when every split second counts, it can be easy to forget the bike is in neutral. I personally know a rider that was hit from behind at a red light because the driver behind him was on a cell phone and did not see him stop. He had a sore back for a few months after that because of the impact.
