I am in a decision between buying the supercharged 2004 impala SS or a 2006 Dodge charger with the high Output 3.5L V6. Which in your opinion would be the better choice. Also the impala SS i am looking at is the indy pace car edition. What does that package add to the car. There were only 2,088 2004 impala limited edition ss indy editions made. Thanks for your help.
I own shop, a drag car truck, and what I think is this; Go with the Impala, and you will be glad you did. I would look at the future value of the vehicle, and the Impala will win hands down. Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!
Go for the Impala. Being that it is supercharged and a limited edition pace car that will mean that when well taken care of it will hold its value way past when the Charger is in the salvage yard. It is also faster then the Charger. With the Impala you can not go wrong, IMHO.
hey bro I'm 15 almost 16 too. I wanted a Mustang Gt for ever but realized the insurance on sports cars is about double to triple the insurance of regular cars. So I decided I wanted a pickup truck. I really like the silverado. on your list the cars you can rule out because of insurance are Mercedes and charger. sorry but its the cold fact. You should also rule out the jeep. (Not reliable not safe. Basicly a big dune buggy.) plus the cherokee is way expensive!!!!! The impala, ls, and Taurus are kinda boring cars but safe and decent on gas. your best bet would be either the Tahoe Yukon aviator and explorer I would also suggest the Nissan extera. they are fairly reliable and look awesome when customized!!!!!
I'll assume you're looking for speed. If that's the case I'd avoid the V6 Chargers. The V6 chargers take 8.9 seconds to reach 60mph, and run the quarter in high 15's or low 16's depending on the test results you look at. Pretty sad. The 2004 Impala SS runs to 60 in 6.5 seconds and hits the quarter at 14.72.MUCH faster. Still, I wouldn't go racing too much.until you get an Intake, Headers, Exhaust and a smaller Supercharger Pulley for higher boost. Good luck with your choice!
Charger because rear wheel drive is better than front wheel drive that the impala has.
