Mechanically they are the same car. So is the Chrysler 300 and old Dodge Magnum. Really it comes down to do you want a 4 door sedan (Charger) or a 2 door coupe (Challenger)?
Chargers are not muscle cars. Challengers are an american muscle car. Chargers used to be a muscle car. Challengers are pure muscle and Chargers are like a Dad car. For someone who wants to have a muscle car but has to lug his kids around. Although the R/T and SRT8 Charger are pretty cool, it's just not a muscle car. Challenger all the way. P.S. I don't think you are capable of driving if you can't spell simple words. You're probably some 12 year old who just got done playing Need for Speed and wanted to tell the world he knows what some cars are.
