His fever started yesterday after noon out of no where he just started shaking like if he was really coldHe's temperature right now is 102.7 I did call the doctor and he told me to give him MotrinWhat else can I do to help my little one feel better?
Some time back I to worked over night, I found by attaching foil to the windows not only blocked out the heat but most all the light to protect the wood I used blue painters tapeIt didn't look all that bad cause I closed the draps.
Buy 1 roll of aluminum foilIt will block out 99% of the suns heatJust make sure to put 3 layers of foil together
Get a roll of the reflective film that goes on windowsYou can buy it at building centersRegular colored paper won't block heat but that film willAnd it just adheres to the windows by static cling so you can reuse it in another apartment.
I'd go with c_kayak_At the home center look for the Double sided Film, this film is reversible, one side reflects the sun away from the house in the summer and you can turn it around and it will reflect house heat back into the room saving you on heating in winterAnother caveat is that you can see out and no one can see into the room from outside during the day, except at night with the lights on you can see in, Also, this film is like sunglasses for the windows, it cuts down on the amount of light entering the room.
Just hold him close, sing to him, and keep a close watch on his temperature - warm him with cozy blankets when he needs it, and keep him cool when he needs thatBest of luck to you - poor thing!
