Question:

92 Ford Focus door wont open.?

I own a 92 4 dr Ford Focus and the front passenger door will not open from the inside or the outside. When you try to unlock the doors all of the doors unlock but that one. I have tried to manually unlock the door but it wont budge. I have tried to take the panel of the door of but due to the construction of the vehicle it is impossible with out the door being open. Any suggestions would be great. I have tried lubricating all accessible parts.

Answer:

do it outside and downwind. usually nothing will happen.
If it is a household fire extinguisher you can discharge it safely, you should know that those things are full of powder and they can make a real mess. I have discharged one out of curiosity. I used a large dumpster and still managed to get powder on myself so you should be aware that it can be a real mess.
Which chemicals ? There are lots of different extinguisher types and they last for many years. 2. You'd be very stupid to attempt to put out any fire with a flammable powder, you could get an explosion.
If its your typical mdf baseboard then likely yes as it is hard the get the area between baseboard and drywall dry. You will also likely have to replace few inches or more of bottom of drywall as that is also difficult to get dry once water has soaked in. Cut a few small areas open and see.
There is no danger as long as you aren't looking down the nozzle when you trip the trigger. It is very likely nothing will happen. If it hasn't been serviced for fifteen years the propellant has probably dissipated or the powder has settled and packed and won't move. At any rate, if it does work you will just have powder everywhere. If there was any danger, it would be right now. The canister is more dangerous when it's pressurized than when you discharge it.
