A fire hose has a diameter of 2.5 cm and is required to direct a jet of water to a height of atleast 40 m. The minimum power (nearly) of the pump needed for this hose is (in kW) (Take g 10 m/s2)1. 21.5 2. 743 3. 1 4. 2.5
Nothing to do with elements attracting each other - that sounds like chemical bonds - matter distorts spacetime - thats the big discovery of Einstein's general theory of relativity. Begin? I'm not sure I understand your question. How do you mean begin, gravity is part of the universe, part of the fundamental laws of physics, might as well ask how electricity began.
Most inexpensive VCR systems use a drag tension regulator on the supply side reel (left side). This is used to maintain tension of the tape while it is being pulled by the capstan and roller. When the unit gets older, several parts wear down: (1) The tension regulator and supply-wheel band brake. This is often a small band of copper with felt glued to it that runs around the supply wheel hub and held with a small spring. When the glue gets old, it sometimes goes through the felt, and causes the brake to stick. Also, sometimes the bearing itself on the reels goes bad and needs lube. (Do NOT get any oil on any surface that contacts the tape) (2) The capstan roller (large rubber roller) gets old and shiny. You can sometimes revive it by cleaning with a lot of Q-tips in alcohol or water. The VCR has sensors that detect that if the tape doesn't pull properly it will shut down. (3) The head scanner gets shiny and causes stick-tion of the tape as it passes by the spinning heads. This also either cases slack in the tape (which the sensors will detect) or too much tenstion (which the sensors will detect). In any case, unless you want to make this a science project, you should either take it to a repair shop, or (my suggestion) buy a new unit.
