a malfunctioning indicator light came on in my jetta 2002 what could it be? and where can I get it fixed?

Answer:

Auto Zone is a good place to start. Unfortunately, VW products have computers that require resetting with the factory V.A.G. computer. Not to do so may cause excessive fuel usage or premature wear of other expensive components, like exhaust systems or catalytic converters. If you are able to determine the fault from Auto Zone, you should consider having it double checked at the VW dealer. If you don't disaster may follow.
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/axFG4 depends on which part of your emissions failed. did they tell you where you had a leak?
Pull into autozone and they wll plug it in for free.
What car you got?is it a Corsa cos mine comes on all the time and the garage said it a manufacture fault cos there is nothing wrong with it!!If its the first time tho then maybe!!
not necessarily, the light could have turned on because of another event, or because of something temporary. I use a tool from harbor freight to turn mine off, because if I go to long without an oil change the light turns on in my truck.
