a sheet of aluminium foil of negligible thickness is placed between the plates of capacitor .what effect has it on capacitance if the foil is electrically insulated and if the foil is connected to upper plate?
It will have no effect if placed between the plates and it will increase the capacitance if connected to any of the plates.
