Question:

Any Alternative to Sweating a Pipe?

I have a shut off valve with two sweat joints. One we have sweat the pipe on. The other is ready for the pipe but i do not want to sweat it on because the heat may damage the joint. Has anyone ever used copper bond, or maybe there is another option. Also I can not turn the water off (live in a condominium the require a licensed plumber with a million dollar policy, and i don't want to go through all that.)

If it is made of metal. The reflective coating has metal in it also.

HEYif you are using a thermal sensor fire alarm, like metal case transistors, its noneed to use shielded wires.because you can adjust the voltage by turning the voltage presets so its not a matter.but if you are using thermal sensors like infrared sensors, you must use shielded wires,to avoid SAW disturbances.(SURFACE ACCOUSTIC WAVES).and not only, must seal all solder points with silicon sealent,to avoid mutual signal transfer of sensitive signals.you must keep short as possibls, the cables, from sensor,to drive boards, and can add length from drive boards to CPUs.or if you are using optic cables reffer to manufactures manual for sealing and connections.while using cables you must calculate the wire resistance, of the proposed cables,as it can affect the input resistance of the sensor, gives a wrong triggering.its all my experiencehave a nice alarm.
