Snow tires, tire chains, a 4WD truck with snow tires and chains would be 100x better. Sports cars in general aren't good in snow, due to the power to wheels issue with the high torque output the drive wheels are guaranteed to spin out and thus your stuck right where the car sits. I would dig it out enough to get tire chains on it and drive away, you would be surprised what a set of snow chains can do for even a sports car. I think that you would have to use cable chains on the camero though due to clearance issues, but check with your local tire shop to be sure though.
Mylar has a melting point of about 250 C. You heater should be safe.
