I have a T-Mobile G1 (which is amazing). It came with a data cable. I also had a data cable that I got for a previous phone. I plugged the old data cable into my G1 and it began charging and acting like the G1 data cable. Is this safe? Are all data cables the same?
Different models of same company can have same cables but data cables are different for different companies i.e manufacturers.
No they are not always the same. You can't connect a Nokia Data Cable to a SE.
yes they can be used for the same purpose if it plugs in to the same port and everything you are fine i use my Polaroid digital camera data cable sometimes for my nokia cell phone and it works just as great so u shouldnt have no trouble at all
