Question:

Are there any USB plug&play cables that let me connect one laptop to another to transfer data?

I know there are expensive ones (from $50), but I'm looking for cheap options. Thanks

Answer:

What you'll need is a crossover cable which you can pick up at any Radio Shack Store. The item is 278-2011 priced around $10. It uses Cat 5E technology which has the same ends as any Cat5 or Cat6 Cable but doesnt have USB , it simply plugs into your ethernet connectors on your laptop or desktop computers. You can find it in the same dept as the Ethernet Cables and Networking equipment. Good luck with it. Need further help, feel free to holla,,I'll work with you one on one until the problem is solved. Great Question by the way. Larry at RadioShack 01-9590
If you know where the expensive ones are, just look elsewhere for similar ones! I'm not QUITE sure if you can do this, but if you could connect the two computers and mount one of them as a drive on the other, wouldn't a standard, cheap USB cord work?
