well both thrash and black metal started death metal... European bands played black metal in America in the 90's death metal was started.. I love earlier black metal bands and second generation... I like some death metal... Most black metal bands aren't Satanist lol. Your criticisms of the genre are based on their physical appearance. Metalcore and deathcore have lots of bad bands, and nu-metal and glam metal are pretty bad.
