What I mean is: Can you block a knitted object made from a yarn blend such as wool and acrylic or alpaca and acrylic?

Answer:

So you want to have your cake and eat it tooThe answer is a piece of cakeJust cut it into pieces and put it in any old container.
Such lovely blends!!! Yes, you block them the same way as you would pure wool or alpaca yarnsJust take care not to allow the wool or alpaca part of it to felt or shrinkEven the new fibers: corn, soy, bamboo, etc, are blockableHave you tried any of these or the blends with them in it? They are so delightful to work withThe pure things work like silk does, feel the same.
