Ariel Atom Supercar, Hypercar or a just a bunch of scaffolding?
i would rather refer to it as an adult go kart. light weight, no luxury appointments, spartan interior, no doors or windshield and a small displacement high revving motor in the back.
No such thing as a Hyper car. It is a Sports car. It does not even classify as a Supercar because its top speed is around 125mph. A Supercar's top speed is 185mph+. A high-end sportscar is 155mph+ A regular sports car is 130mph-155mph. I am counting the Ariel as a sportscar because of its quick acceleration. It is a great car. Very fun to drive. Lasts forever with the Honda Civic engine that it has. It is an exciting car.
This is how I look at it, those cars for those of us who actually want to know what open wheel racing is like. Its the closest thing well ever get unless your some F1 driver or Indy driver. Practicality non withstanding on this machine. It is NOT an everyday go to work vehicle. This is the car that you take through the mountains, pull a redlight challenge to anyone you see and smoke em. Ariel Atom, Supercar for the weekends.
