AT&T DSL and Wireless Router : Require to connect one Machine on Ethernet for wireless to work?

1 I have ATT DSL Internet connection(Phone and Internet Service from ATT)2 Planning to have following Network at homeDSL modem-Wireless Router -(WirelessLink)-Laptop Will this setup work ? Or I have to have the Machine Connected to the DLINK Wireless router on its Ethernet Port so that Other Laptop on Wireless link will work?Thanks in advance.
